Nice to meet ya!
While born in Sweden, I tend to describe myself as a half-Swede, half-Colombian, partly raised on the Cape Verde Islands. Not because nationalities matter. Rather to lay a basic chord that says, ”hey, we all contain multitudes, let’s explore them!”
I speak Swedish, English, Portuguese and Cape Verdean Creol, get ahead on Spanish and fiddle in some French.
I guess that my background has influenced my interest in global North/South relations, colonialism, feminism and temporal ethics. Vulnerability and power in general.
I started off doing graphic design (books, webpages) and went to some creative writing schools. I’ve always read a lot, I guess fiction and novels laid a solid foundation of curiosity about the experience of being a human being. That’s probably the thread I’ve been weaving with since – through psychology, social anthropology, and organisation studies.
I’ve consulted on organisational psychology since 2008, as an independent consultant since 2013. Took a master in Social Anthropology 2019. And now I’m on this journey of doing a PhD in Organisation Studies at Stockholm Business School.
I love litterature. I love music. I love the buzzing swosh of lightsabers and the swish of spaceships jumping into hyperspace. And sloths. And animated movies, they kinda tell the archaic stories of life, as the old fairy tales and legends.
There’s so much to love.
What do you love?
Some other stuff
Check out some sounds and noises I’ve put up on SoundCloud.
And a small selection of book covers I did for the Swedish publisher Tranan.
